Naseem Bashir, P.Eng., ICD.D
President
Naseem Bashir is the president and chief executive officer of Williams Engineering Canada and chairman of the Board for the Williams Group of Companies. In his role, Naseem directs strategic and business planning from inception through to execution and is pushing to double the company's size by 2014. Naseem has been servicing clients and the business for over 28 years. He is also an active member of YPO-WPO Alberta as well as the past president of the Consulting Engineers of Alberta, and is the vice-chair, Board of Trustees, at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
Margot Ross-Graham, B.A., CHRP
Vice President, Integration
Margot Ross-Graham joined our firm in December of 2008. Her role provides strategic direction and leadership to the Human Resources, IT, Marketing, and Sustainability departments as well as all integration initiatives. Margot is an experienced senior executive with an extensive background in leadership, change management, and organizational development, and is recognized for her ability to manage broad portfolios. She understands how to achieve big picture results while not losing site of the numerous steps it takes to reach the end goal.
Don Schick, BComm, CA
Vice President, Finance
Don Schick joined the Williams Engineering team in the spring of 2008. He brings over 30 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. His primary focuses are the development of company-wide long-term strategies, risk management, financial sustainability, and corporate planning. He is also involved in the pursuit of potential business opportunities.
Don is a chartered accountant (CA) and holds a bachelor of commerce degree with honours from the University of Alberta.
Gord Rajewski, R.E.T.
Regional Director, Northern Alberta
Gord Rajewski has over 28 years of specialized engineering expertise in building science; particularly in infrared thermography and roof engineering. Gord has traveled extensively throughout Canada and the United States and has undertaken a project in Africa. He has participated in a wide variety of speaking engagements and educational seminars on a variety of common building science issues.
Steven Meister, B.Com.
Regional Director, Arctic
Steven Meister joined our firm in April 2011 as our Arctic Regional Director. He is responsible for our Yellowknife office operations as well as business development in the North, particularly the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Yellowknife has been home to Steven and his family since 1995. His previous work experience includes 10 years working for a northern telecommunications provider with a focus on the delivery of services to the resource and data infrastructure sector.
Jim Gilliland, Ph.D., P.Eng., LEED® AP
Regional Director, Southern Alberta
Jim Gilliland joined Williams Engineering in May of 2006 as our Calgary Buildings Practice Leader. Jim has a broad range of experience that includes commercial, educational, institutional, health care, and environmental applications. He has extensive experience using a variety of project delivery methods including construction management, fast-tracking, and design-building. The main focus of Jim’s work is to deliver projects that minimize construction costs and achieve both corporate and client objectives.
Steve Woodmass, P.Eng.
Regional Director, British Columbia
Steve Woodmass has been practicing mechanical HVAC engineering for 30 years and has extensive sustainable design and project management experience. In 1983, he began his HVAC career in Winnipeg as Energy Conservation Manager for a local firm. Eventually moving westward, he was employed as a senior design engineer in Vancouver. In 1992, Steve headed up a new engineering office in Kelowna. Acting as Managing Leader and Buildings Practice Leader, he grew the office to over 60 people with five engineering disciplines.
Wayne Gustafson, P.Eng.
Regional Director, Central Alberta
Wayne Gustafson brings a wealth of knowledge and over 17 years of experience and project management skills to Williams Engineering. He has a particularly strong background in municipal engineering and the ability to support our clients, advise them of policy, administration, and budgeting requirements for transportation, municipal infrastructure, and land development. Wayne brings a solid understanding and a broad range of project management skills to a very diverse group of people.
