Capital Health, serving over one million Edmonton and area patients, provides various high technology services including organ transplants, inpatient acute care, rehabilitation care, extended care, and immunizations. Williams Engineering Canada (WEC), as sub-consultant to PSAV Architects Ltd., was awarded engineering schematic design services for a new health centre in Fort Providence, Northwest Territories. This health centre was the first to be built based on the new Integrated Service Delivery Model (ISDM) for health and social service programs in the communities.
Williams Engineering Canada (WEC) was selected as the mechanical engineering consultants for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Inpatient Bed Project. This project is an extension of a previously built shell space, established in 2009. Levels six and seven of the existing health care tower are to be fitted with 64 patient beds to accommodate local community health care needs. At the time the Interior Health Authority had a shortage of short and long stay beds in the Central Okanagan.
