How many years of experience do you have?
I have a total of 25 years of work experience, 15 years working in Human Resources, 5 years in Banking and 5 years in Retail.
What did your career progression leading up to today look like?
Having worked in retail and banking, I really had a chance to develop my “customer service” skills, which have helped me tremendously as an HR Professional balancing various stakeholders’ interests within an organization and acting as a trusted advisor to address important HR-related issues. Within the field of HR, I worked my way up from my very first role as an HR Administrator to HR Consultant and now to HR Manager; it’s been a long career progression; however, I’ve developed into my role and gained confidence in my decision making and in providing strategic HR advice and consultation based on my several years of experience within various industries, both private and public and working in organizations of all sizes.

How does your work positively impact women in Calgary and/or women of the world?
My passion and purpose in life are to positively impact women and girls around the world, especially when it comes to gender inequality, lack of education or mobility and basic freedoms. I feel that in my role working with Williams, I am finally able to contribute to this purpose given it’s a strategic objective of the organization, and I can be part of the process to address it.
