Arif studied mechanical engineering at Lakehead University. He has taken courses in HVAC Design, Thermal Sciences, and Heat Transfer etc. In his final year of university, Arif and his team worked on the Formula SAE project. This project is an international project governed and organized by FSAE International. The team spent the year researching and designing the vehicle, and then later manufacturing the race car to go compete among 150 universities from all around the world in the competition held in Michigan.
Arif first worked for WEC in the summer of 2017 with the structural department in the Yellowknife office. He has now returned for a full-time position with the mechanical team. In his free time, Arif loves to travel and experience new cultures; having already traveled to more than 20 countries. He also enjoys spending time in the kitchen preparing food for friends and family, and occasionally experimenting with new recipes.
