Donald Nguyen is a mechanical technologist who graduated from BCIT in 2005. Over the recent years, Donald has gained a keen interest in health care and laboratory design being knowledgeable in the applicable CSA, NFPA, and ASHRAE standards. His most recent role saw him setting up and maintaining Revit systems, training the next generation of BIM modellers using self written training guides, and joining round tables with other BIM users in the industry.
Donald has a large variety of project experience providing the schematic and detailed design, construction administration, design management, and field survey and review services for Health Care, Education, Commercial, Kitchen, Residential, & Civil type projects.
Donald loves the Okanagan and his proudest legacy in the region was the mechanical design and BIM modelling of JoeAnna’s House, Kelowna General Hospital’s home away from home. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, camping, hiking, coaching hockey, cooking, and motorcycling.
