Glen is an energy modeller who applies his broad scope of building science and energy modelling knowledge to both new construction and existing building projects. Glen graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Masters of Engineering and a Green Energy Diploma in Mechanical and Mechatronics. In addition, he brings 15 years of experience working as a Building Inspector and an HVAC Engineer in China. As a Certified Energy Advisor, he has completed over 20 Part 9 energy modelling projects with HOT2000. Glen also gained more than 3 years of energy modelling experience with DesignBuilder while working for a building envelope consultant, those projects include low-rise apartment buildings, high-rise residential towers and various commercial buildings.

At Williams Engineering, Glen’s responsibilities include applying a variety of established energy policies, codes and guildlines while conducting energy modelling, HVAC load calculation, embodied carbon emission calculation and thermal bridge analysis.
