Pragmatic as James is, his first career choice wasn’t to become an engineer—it was to become an architect. James’ role model has always been his architect father. However, along his career, he discovered that his passion is in methodical things, which drew him into the world of engineering.
James develops and executes strategic regional business plans while leading the engineering group in British Columbia. James has over fifteen years of experience as a senior mechanical engineer and as a certified project manager. With experience in the commercial, corporate, retail, and mixed use sectors, he manages projects from inception to post-completion and is involved in every phase of the project. James is also responsible for the quality and innovation of the work undertaken by the various disciplines in the province. That responsibility includes adherence to professional standards and quality assurance best practices, health and safety, research and development, and attracting top technical expertise.
James is actively involved in the community by volunteering for immigrant mentoring programs at various local associations and also as a council member at the University British Columbia Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council.
