Located in Calgary’s established northwest neighbourhood of Kincora, the Emerald Sky Condominiums are amongst the most affordable concrete condominiums in the city, currently available for rent and purchase. The 571 – 937 square foot residential units use space efficiently with their modern, open concept design and expansive city views. An ideal community for residents who enjoy outdoor activities, the area offers abundant trails, a natural ravine and easy access to Nose Hill Park.
The Emerald Sky residential development by Carlisle Group consists of multiple six-storey wood-framed buildings constructed over two levels of underground parkades. Williams Engineering Canada (WEC) performed as Building Envelope consultants, conducting an initial review on the building envelope and roofing detail drawings provided by Casola Koppe Architecture and providing recommendations for additional and improved details. Our team also prepared and distributed building envelope, foundation waterproofing and roofing system site reviews and reports during the construction of the buildings that included recommendations and observations related to construction details. In addition, WEC attended various onsite meetings throughout the construction of Emerald Sky to thoroughly discuss constructability, critical building envelope details or concerns and sequencing.
With a planned transit hub and Sage Hill Crossing’s retail centre nearby, Emerald Sky provides convenient access to Calgary’s amenities and major road networks across the city, including Stoney Trail, Shaganappi Trail and Symons Valley Boulevard all only minutes away. Our teams’ forward-thinking mindset and collaborative approach to the building envelope design of Emerald Sky contribute to enriching the lives of those who occupy these thoughtfully crafted residences.
