Lutsel K’e Fuel Storage Facility

Lutsel K’e is a small community located on the east arm of Great Slave Lake. The name of the former Hudson’s Bay Company outpost means “place of small fish” and today the village supports a thriving sport fishing industry.

The existing fuel facility in Lutsel K’e required code upgrades and repairs as well as a capacity increase. The community requested that the facility be moved out of the centre of the community and project advisors agreed.

Williams Engineering (WE) was retained to design the new facility and decommission the existing site. As a Recognized Northern Engineering Consultant, WE has decades of experience designing and installing fuel facilities in northern remote regions; the project was successful in all aspects and promises to provide the fuel needed to further develop Lutsel K’e.
