Williams Engineering (WE) provided the mechanical and sustainability consulting engineering services for this project. The process began with a review of the existing systems and an assessment for future air conditioning options. After analyzing the project’s financial needs, we identified a funding opportunity through the CleanBC incentive for existing buildings. We conducted a comprehensive energy audit and study following CleanBC Modelling Guidelines, in coordination with BC Hydro. The anticipated GHG savings potential with the proposed energy measures is 309 tonnes CO2e, representing a 71% reduction in annual GHG emissions. The study was subsequently approved by CleanBC. WE were then retained by the client to perform the upgraded mechanical design.
