Promenade at the Quay

Located in downtown North Vancouver, across from the desirable Lonsdale Quay, this mixed-use residential development contains 117 residential units and will soon become home to the new Museum of North Vancouver. With a beautiful combination of downtown Vancouver views and the stunning North Shore mountains, these multi-family homes were delicately designed to emphasize their open floor plans.  The vibrant neighbourhood of Lower Lonsdale features various amenities for residents of all ages, with access to renowned hiking trails, watersports, shopping, local events and restaurants.

Williams Engineering (WE) provided mechanical engineering and energy modelling design services for this new construction, including the residential suites and sales centre. The mechanical designs included high-rise design requirements, an HVAC system compatible with Lonsdale Energy (LEC) district heating, and a LEED Silver equivalency sustainable target. A hybrid heat pump system was utilized to provide the heating and air conditioning throughout the building and meet the LEC design requirements.

Promenade at the Quay embraces the vibrancy of North Vancouver, with retail space on the ground level and dining, art galleries and shops only a short walk away. Many suites feature large balconies of up to 700 sq. ft., providing residents with an idyllic spot to entertain and enjoy the remarkable waterfront and mountain views.  The combination of innovative design, style, and location make the Promenade at the Quay in North Vancouver a desirable place to live and provides residents and the community with a development that contributes to a more sustainable and greener city.
