Shell Energy Pitt River – New Tank Installation

Williams Engineering (WE) provided prime consulting, structural, mechanical, electrical and project management engineering services for the replacement of the current Shell Energy underground fuel tanks in Port Coquitlam, BC. Our mutli-disciplinary team reviewed the standards package to ensure that our designs followed the Shell Standards and The City of Port Coquitlam permitting requirements.

As the prime consultant, we collaborated closely with Shell’s construction manager throughout the construction phase and ensured seamless communication and integration between all teams. Additionally, we worked to maintain high standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring the facility met all necessary specifications.

Our structural team provided site plan development and designs for the tank farm slab, canopy slab and dispenser island. Our mechanical and electrical teams reviewed the existing services in relation to the requirements of the project. Based on the information discovered, the mechanical and electrical teams developed designs for the new fuel tanks, application of petroleum piping and electrical site plan for the project.
