Adjacent to Burnaby’s vibrant neighbourhood of Metrotown, the newly constructed Sun Towers include a  42-storey, 400,000 sq. ft. high rise mixed-use building featuring retail, restaurant, office, and daycare space as well as over 400 luxury residential suites. This development also includes a 26-storey residential building featuring over 250 suites.  Each building has been designed with its own parkade and shares high-end amenity spaces, including a golf practice room, swimming pool, indoor badminton court, and activity rooms. As one of the tallest buildings in the neighbourhood, the Sun Towers feature a unique façade design making it another iconic building in the Metrotown area.

Williams Engineering (WE) provided innovative mechanical engineering consulting services for this project including designs related to hydronic heating and air conditioning, drainage systems including sanitary and storm systems, fire suppression, mechanical site services and controls / automation, design drawings and specifications for permit, tender and construction purposes as well as  construction administration services.

With a strong commitment to enhancing the health and wellness of its residents, occupants of the Sun Towers have access to a spacious fitness facility and spa-influenced steam and sauna rooms. Residents will also enjoy the plentiful indoor and outdoor amenities within walking distance, such as the Metropolis Mall, Central Park and access to the Metrotown Skytrain Station.

WE strives to continue to create impactful designs for the people in our communities. The Sun Towers will be home to many occupants seeking the benefits of living in the heart of Metro Vancouver for many years to come.
