After graduating from the Mechanical Engineering Technology program at NAIT, Rufan began his career as a BIM Coordinator in the mechanical contracting field. He previously worked on a hospital project, which his major duties included modifying and developing HVAC models, coordinating with different disciplines and conducting on-site inspections.

During his spare time, Rufan enjoys traveling, reading, listening to music, cooking, playing pool, hanging out and eating out with his friends.
