June 23rd is a day dedicated to recognizing, honouring, and highlighting women’s achievements and exceptional contributions in engineering. This day is also an opportunity to promote gender diversity and inclusion. Through International Women in Engineering Day, we can enable a future where every aspiring engineer, regardless of their gender, can thrive, innovate, and make a positive impact on the cities and communities we are all a part of.
While significant progress has been made in promoting gender diversity in engineering, work still needs to be completed. International Women in Engineering Day reminds us to continually strive for equal representation, support, and recognition for women engineers. It calls upon individuals, organizations, and governments to take action to create an inclusive environment where women can excel in our industry.
