National Bank at Manulife Place – Tenant Improvement
National Bank (formerly CWB) recently relocated their headquarters into a newly developed office tower in Manulife Place, a prime location in downtown Edmonton. Williams Engineering (WE) was retained to provide mechanical and electrical consulting engineering services as part of Kasian Architecture Interior Design & Planning’s Prime Design Consultant team.
The Loft
Located on the west end of downtown Calgary, The Loft is an office to residential project converting 52,550 square feet of commercial office space into 55 residential units. This project was approved for funding by the City of Calgary’s Downtown Development Incentive Program in 2023.
O’Byrne’s Irish Pub
The popular O’Byrnes Irish Pub has opened its second location in Edmonton, AB, in the MNP Tower. The new 5,278 sq. ft. space features seating for 180 guests indoors and an additional 90 on the patio, enhancing the area’s growing hospitality scene. WE provided the electrical and mechanical consulting engineering services to support the design and fit-out of the new tenant space.
Northern United Place Retrofit
Originally built in 1976 by Yellowknife’s largest not-for-profit housing provider, N.W.T. Community Services Corporation, Northern United Place provides affordable residential and commercial space to its tenants.
Beaver Lake Cree Nation High School and Resource Centre
We are proud to be working alongside Archiasmo Architectural Works Limited on a new K-12 school for Beaver Lake Cree Nation. The opportunity to collaborate with the project team on the first Net Zero school in Alberta is deeply gratifying and we are excited to contribute our skills and innovation to bring the project’s vision to life.
Calgary Board of Education (CBE) – IT Closet Remediation at 27 Schools
Our team acted as the Prime Consultant and provided the electrical engineering services for the remediation of IT closets at numerous Calgary Board of Education (CBE) school sites. This project involved our services for the design, installation, and testing for the remediation of 48 IT closets in 27 schools between 2021 and 2024.
Foothills Country Hospice Expansion
Foothills Country Hospice is a care facility that provides bereavement support and grief counseling. Spanning 13,500 square feet, the hospice is situated 1.5 km north of Okotoks on an 8-acre property, offering stunning views of the mountains. This project involves the construction of a two-story wood-frame building to expand the available residential hospice space.
Gariepy Neighbourhood Renewal Lighting Design
The City of Edmonton has been working to update and modernize the 1970s neighbourhood and the nearby Gariepy Park since 2022 as part of the overarching Neighbourhood Renewal project. The Neighbourhood Renewal project is working to rehabilitate residential roads, replace streetlights, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and adds missing sidewalk links, where possible.
Lutsel K’e Fuel Storage Facility
The existing fuel facility in Lutsel K’e required code upgrades and repairs as well as a capacity increase. The community requested that the facility be moved out of the centre of the community and project advisors agreed.
Pond Inlet Women’s Shelter
Williams Engineering (WE) provided our mechanical and electrical engineering services for the Pond Inlet Women’s Shelter renovation project.
Shell Energy Pitt River – New Tank Installation
