Acadia Townhomes

Tucked into a tree-lined corner of Garrison Campus, the Acadia Townhomes are a collection of forty-two townhome units in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Garrison Campus is a new community of homes, businesses and parks in the vibrant Canada Education Park. Plenty of opportunity awaits in the Canada Education Park, including the University of Fraser Valley, RCMP Pacific Training Centre, the Justice Institute of British Columbia and the Canada Border Services Agency.

Williams Engineering (WE) completed the mechanical and electrical engineering services for the design and construction of the Acadia Townhomes. Working drawings for power, communications, lighting and life safety systems were provided by WE, including the electrical layouts for the residential suites. Plumbing, heating and ventilation systems were designed by WE’s mechanical team, including calculating ventilation rates, heating loads, schematics and determining locations of HVAC equipment. Domestic hot water is provided to each home by individual natural gas water heaters and ventilation is continuously proved using HRVs. The buildings were designed to demonstrate compliance with ASHRAE 90.1 and BC Building Code Part 9.36.

With access to a range of nearby amenities, the Acadia Townhomes are an ideal option for many individuals with a variety of interests and hobbies. As the population continues to grow, this development provides much-needed housing in an up-and-coming community close to the University of Fraser Valley.
