In the heart of Calgary’s new master-planned University District, Aria consists of a five-storey residential building with 288 units, retail space and a childcare facility. This new, inviting community of the University District is located near the University of Calgary and Foothills Hospital, making Aria the ideal choice for local students and healthcare workers while meeting the increased need for rental options in the area. This vibrant development features plenty of indoor and outdoor amenities and gathering spaces such as demonstration kitchens, a lushly landscaped courtyard, dog play areas, a fitness centre, yoga space and a pickleball court.
Performing alongside NORR Architects, Williams Engineering (WE) provided building envelope consulting services during the construction of the apartment building. These services included a comprehensive review of the building envelope and roofing detail drawings by the Architect as well as a written report outlining WE’s recommendations and comments on the design. Site review reports were distributed to the project team by WE, detailing the building envelope and roofing elements observed on-site with progress updates, comments, recommendations and clarifications provided as required.
