Located at the corner of 10th Avenue and 8th Street in downtown Calgary, Alberta, the MARK on 10th is a beautiful mixed-use residential development featuring 275 contemporary suites. The building provides street-accessible commercial and retail space on the main floor, office space on the second floor and residential unites over the remaining 32 storeys. A rooftop garden on the third floor provides amenity space for both residential and office tenants.
Williams Engineering (WE) provided the building envelope consulting services for the construction and maintenance work required on the MARK condominiums. Reviews of the building envelope and roofing detail drawings were provided by WE at the 50% and 95% stages. A review of thermal modeling simulations was included in WE’s review to rectify any potential energy efficiency or building envelope issues. Site reviews for the building envelope, roofing system and foundation waterproofing were conducted by WE and site visit reports were prepared and distributed to the full project team. Since the construction of the MARK was completed in 2016, WE has provided additional services for various improvements and repairs required throughout the last several years.
