Petro Canada Pilot Sound

Williams Engineering (WE) was retained to provide prime consulting, protect management, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering consulting services for the tenant conversion at the Petro-Canada Pilot Sound in Edmonton, Alberta.

This project consisted of converting 302 sq. ft. of an existing 3,497 sq. ft. Petro-Canada Convenience Store and Gas Bar, into an A & W restaurant. This included the review of existing systems in relation to the protect requirements and designing site services, storm water drainage, plumbing, heating and ventilation systems. Some of the challenges that WE faced were the need to keep the gas station and convenience store fully operational during construction, as well as meeting A & W’s corporate mandate of having a brief two-month construction time line.

WE’s multi-disciplinary project team was able to provide the required design and consulting services to exceed the client’s expectations and fulfill the scope of work accurately and efficiently. With careful consideration, operations were not jeopardized, and this project was completed in time and on budget.
