Triton Centre is a two-storey mixed-use commercial and retail building measuring 55,319 square feet with on-grade parking. Both spaces were subdivided into smaller units allowing for several tenants to utilize the building.
Williams Engineering (WE) provided both mechanical and electrical design services for the new construction of Triton Centre, located in a prime location within a high traffic zone, linking to the Fraser Highway, Nordel Way, and Highway 91.
The mechanical base building design included an economical mixture of packaged rooftop units serving the top two floors and a split-system serving the lowest floor level. Common area lighting was designed to be energy efficient and consisted of cost-effective, high-efficiency and high-longevity fluorescent lighting, supplemented by automatic controls. Fire alarm, emergency lighting, and exit signage were designed to protect occupants and property.
With the expected population growth to reach 535,000 in Surrey, B.C. by 2016, this convenient commercial development located in a high-traffic area will add important economic business to the vibrant city.
