Vittorio Apartments

A short walk from British Columbia’s largest entertainment and shopping complex, the Vittorio Apartments were designed to attract residents to its contemporary interiors and lively community. Constructed with luxury onsite amenities, the Vittorio Club is the ideal hosting space, including a residents-only media and billiards lounge and multiple meeting rooms. A central green courtyard provides gathering and entertainment space  for residents, along with a gymnasium for court activities. At  an impressive 39-stories, this distinctive high-rise tower features 263 residential apartment units within its 270,000 sq. ft. floor area.

As the mechanical engineering sub-consultants on this project, Williams Engineering (WE) provided high rise HVAC and plumbing design and construction administration. The HVAC system featured heating and air conditioning throughout the residential units and amenities using distributed vertical water source heat pumps with distribution ducting in the suites using a combination of in-slab and below slab routing.  Heat was injected into the 2-pipe hydronic distribution through penthouse high efficiency boilers and rejected through a rooftop fluid cooler.  WE’s mechanical team considered sustainable designs to ensure this project met LEED silver equivalency and complied with BCBC Energy Codes.

The prime location of Vittorio makes exploring and commuting within the surrounding areas effortless. With a newly expanded bus terminal and the SkyTrain network nearby, downtown Vancouver is a short 15-minute ride away. Inspired by the vision for thoughtful design, these high-rise apartments show a harmonious blend of tailored style and functionality that actively contribute to the inviting energy of Burnaby.
