Located in Surrey, British Columbia, Wood and Water is a new master-planned community on a sixteen-acre development. The community includes 265 townhomes and duplexes, a four-storey rental apartment building, retail spaces and a daycare. Wood and Water also features a residents-only clubhouse, The Treehouse, in addition to an onsite gym, yoga studio and several multi-purpose rooms.
Williams Engineering (WE) provided mechanical consulting engineering services for this new construction project. These services included plumbing systems and service designs, heating, and ventilation systems. Domestic hot water is provided to the condominium building through a central high-efficiency hot water boiler system, while the townhomes are provided with electric hot water tanks. The suites are heated by electric baseboard heaters in each room and ventilated using a CRV system. The mechanical designs for this project demonstrate compliance with BCBC Part 10 Energy Use.
Each home at Wood and Water features private, gated front yards or balconies, allowing all residents to enjoy the community’s natural setting. These homes are designed to create warmth and comfort for families and individuals while focusing on quality materials and construction.
