Williams Engineering (WE) is pleased to receive two ASHRAE BC Technology Awards! The ASHRAE BC Technology Awards recognize outstanding achievements by ASHRAE members who have successfully demonstrated innovative design capabilities and high competence in several areas. These areas include occupant comfort, indoor air quality and energy conservation. The performance of each project is proven through one year of verifiable operating data.
WE is proud to have won First Place Region XI and BC Chapter Award in the Institutional Category for the Surrey Courthouse Mechanical Systems Renewal Project. This project included mechanical and electrical engineering consulting services to improve mechanical performance and system efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, WE won Second Place Region XI and BC Chapter Award for the Richmond Cultural Centre Upgrade in the Existing Public Assembly Category. This upgrade included replacing the HVAC system with high-efficiency units that reduce energy use and maximize the operational efficiency of the mechanical system.
