As everyone is aware, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had a major impact on our global community. Williams Engineering Canada (WEC) is closely monitoring the ongoing developments with COVID-19. As the situation continues to change quickly, our top priority remains to be the health and safety of our people, our customers and the communities that we serve.
As of this moment, all our offices remain open, and we are operating normally. We have taken the appropriate measures based on the recommendations made by local health authorities to ensure that our offices are safe in order to protect the health of our people and the community. In addition, we have eliminated travel between our offices and are limiting travel to our customers’ respective locations.
We are also prepared to have our people work from home while remaining connected to our network should the need arise, and have already done so with some of our teams. Currently, we do not anticipate any interruptions in productivity and timely responsiveness. We are confident that our systems will enable us to continue to work remotely and in all our offices.
Effective March 14th and until further notice:
OFFICE:
- No guests or visitors are permitted in any of our offices.
- Meetings with our customers will be held using telephone, Microsoft Teams, Skype and other online conference applications.
EVENTS:
- Any and all company-sponsored social events are cancelled.
- Any and all attendance to conferences, networking events, open houses, training, etc., are suspended.
TRAVEL:
- All company, non-essential domestic travel is suspended.
- All company international travel is suspended.
- Anyone travelling for personal reasons to and from a severely infected area needs to ensure that we are aware of their travels. Self-quarantine measures are in place and will be made mandatory.
We are committed to keeping everyone in our community healthy and safe as we continue to work with our valued customers on their respective projects. We encourage everyone to practice preventative health measures to help limit and stop this disease from spreading. We will continue to examine, adjust and adapt our policies and plans as events revolving around COVID-19 continue to unfold.
