Chris Jepson: Honouring a true professional and friend

May 27, 2016

Our dear friend and colleague Chris Jepson passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016. He was surrounded by his family and close friends.

Chris’ career spanned over 44 years, and he will be remembered as a natural leader that focused on building, managing and supporting multi-discipline teams. He was a LEED-accredited professional and led teams involved in numerous award-winning projects. Chris was a founding member of the Sustainable Buildings Symposium, now the premier symposium for the Canada Green Building Council, Alberta Chapter.

During his time with Williams Engineering Canada, Chris served as the Practice Leader for Buildings Engineering in Alberta. He was seen as a mentor, and his welcoming personality made people feel as though they could turn to him for advice at any time. His commitment to excellence was made apparent in his daily interactions with our clients and our people. Chris’ contributions to the engineering industry and the positive impact that he had on everyone with whom he interacted will never be forgotten. He will be truly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2016, at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert, Alberta.

Memorial Donations may be made in Chris’ name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada Alberta & NWT Division, #150, 9405-50 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T6B 2T4.
