CDS Office Renovation

CDS Group of Companies is a leader in providing clients with a vast array of Supply Chain and Logistics services, including warehousing, transportation, transload, supply chain management and customs brokerage services. CDS is based out of a 400,000-square-foot facility in Richmond, British Columbia. In 2021, CDS identified the need to renovate the existing office space to better serve the needs of the company and its employees.

Williams Engineering (WE) provided mechanical and electrical engineering consulting services for this office renovation. These services included the design of plumbing and fire suppression systems to suit the new space layout and the design of the electrical power, lighting and fire alarm system. Mechanical and electrical design drawings and specifications were provided in AutoCAD format for the project’s permit, tender and construction phases. Construction administration services, including answering contractor questions, reviewing shop drawings, and issuing RFIs and SIs, were also provided by WE.

With renovations completed, the CDS Group of Companies is able to effectively meet the needs of employees, which better enables its team to operate and ensure that its customers are provided with the solutions and services they expect from a well-established and growing organization in the supply chain and logistics industry.
