Williams Engineering (WE) provided mechanical and electrical consulting engineering services for this new construction project. The building is a four-storey wood-framed structure with one level of underground parking. The residential space totals about 51,966 square feet, and the parkade is approximately 19,000 square feet. The suite ventilation uses energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) in each suite, designed in compliance with ASHRAE 62.1. The building’s domestic hot water is provided by central high-efficiency gas-fired water heaters and storage tanks. The parkade is insulated and heated using gas-fired forced air heaters with exhaust systems consisting of multiple exhaust fans controlled by zoned carbon monoxide and combustible gas detectors. WE’s electrical designs include an exterior parking area and parkade lighting, main power distribution, fire alarm systems and residential suite lighting.
