Prince George Urgent & Primary Care Centre

Located in Prince George, British Columbia, the new Prince George Urgent and Primary Care Centre (Prince George UPCC) provides quality healthcare to people with non-emergency illnesses or injuries. This new urgent and primary care facility is an excellent option for patients who have  troubles getting an appointment with their family doctor within twenty-four hours or those  without a regular family doctor.

Williams Engineering (WE) provided mechanical and electrical consulting engineering services for this project. The mechanical scope included providing designs for the plumbing, heating and ventilation systems. WE’s electrical team completed designs for the distribution system, lighting systems, auxiliary power, communications, and emergency systems. Designs for the renovation of the existing fire alarm system to meet the new floor plans were completed by the mechanical and electrical team, including the review and placement of sprinkler head locations. Construction administration was provided by WE and included site visits to review the progress of construction on site.

Operated by Northern Health, the Prince George UPCC effectively provides in-demand healthcare services for the northern and rural populations in British Columbia through partnerships with communities and organizations. This new facility will ensure more individuals have access to the care and services they need within a reasonable timeframe.
